About Steve Baldwin
Steve Baldwin, broker/dealer at Spokane Coin Exchange, has had a lifelong interest in numismatics and precious metals. He started his first coin collection at the age of eight and began investing in silver in his teen years. Since 1975 he has been professionally involved in the sale of precious metals and rare coins.
In the 1970’s and 1980’s, he hosted a popular radio show centered around current economic and political events and their relationship to precious metals prices under the moniker “Captain Insight”. Additionally, he authored a weekly newspaper column under that pseudonym, an investment newsletter called the “Baldwin Bulletin”, and the award-winning “Investing in Precious Metals”.
In 1980 he achieved national notoriety when sued by investment behemoth E.F. Hutton for using the phrase “When Steve Baldwin talks, E.F. Hutton listens!”
In 1981, the Spokesman Review named Baldwin “Spokane Businessman of the Year” in their annual Progress Edition.
